The novel »Metamorphose am Rande des Himmels« by Mathias Malzieu tells the story of stuntman Tom Cloudman, who is suddenly confronted with a devastating diagnosis: cancer in the terminal stage. Despite this, he refuses to give up on his dream of flying. Eventually, he meets the mysterious bird-woman, who offers him a chance at a new life.

The illustration of the bird-woman was created in Procreate. With a sentimental gaze, she looks directly at the viewer, allowing them to emotionally connect with Tom Cloudman’s journey.
